Description: Two days of hiking through Slovak Paradise (Slovenský Raj), Slovakia. This is a huge and beautiful national park located in the center of this mountainous country. I stayed at health and and spa Hotel Čingov, located in a remote and isolated area about two miles from the northern entrance to the park. My first day was on my birthday, July 10, 2011, where I celebrated with a bottle of Czech wine on Tomášovský Viewpoint, a highly photographed cliff overlooking miles and miles of the beautiful park. After that, I met up with very cool steel girder-like bridges that hugged the side of mountains. As I walked it, I clung to the safety chain; below was nothing but river. The next day I met three cool Poles. We didn't speak each other's languages, but I was able to figure out the leader was a fireman. This was reassuring as we had to climb up several very high ladders going to the top of a mountain.
